Hi my name is Nathan Wood and I am Former Royal Marine Commando turned Exercise & Performance Nutritionist, Personal Trainer and Fitness Adventurer.

My ethos is to create over-all happiness using functional movement to achieve muscular balance in a pain free, healthy body.

MORE ABOUT ME

I am a Exercise & Performance Nutritionist and Personal Trainer. I have great experience working with a broad spectrum of clients from GB triathletes and ultra-enurance to rugby and american football, as well as military based fitness which I believe is very hybrid as you need to be both big and strong while having great endurance capacity. 

 Most of my early experience comes from my time as an elite Royal Marines Commando. Where as well as deploying to the front line in Afghanistan, I have worked with professional sport teams and athletes conditioning them in the gym and around the assault/commando courses, not just developing them physically but developing them mentally. It was also during my time in the Marines when deployed all over the world (a lot of the time on rations) that I developed my passion for nutrition and understanding the importance of fuelling your body the right way. Since Leaving the Marines have been working out of my own private gym facility in Hertfordshire forever adapting and evolving my methods of training and coaching to help people achieve their goals. I believe that I will never stop learning and am always looking for the next thing to enhance my clients results.  

Nutrition is equal, if not more important than exercise when it comes to maximising body composition and exercise performance. Therefore I have invested just as much time educating myself in nutrition as I have in exercise performance. I offer great support in nutrition as a trainer. I have a real passion for nutrition and believe it to be the key to success when trying to transform your body. I am forever improving my nutritional knowledge and keep myself up to date with the latest studies in nutritional science as well as completing a wide variation of nutrition courses taking what I believe to be the best elements from them and forming my own hybrid nutrition coaching platform. I am also a ISSN (international society of sports nutrition)  student specialising performance nutrition with hopes of going on to a masters later this year.
